A Meditation Coach?

"Wow - I hummed classical music as I drove back to the office .. working with you is like a mind massage"

This was a wonderful message that I received from a client after her first private meditation class.

Meeting one-one-one for meditation is ideal for those who find it difficult to get to a class as we can schedule a time that comfortably fits into your day.

We are also happy to include partner, family members or group of best buddies.

Private meditation instruction allows us to look at specific meditation techniques and exercises that might best meet your unique lifestyle (and learning style) and interests, and work on specific challenges or questions

the goal being that we find the best meditation practice for YOU!

Kind of like having a Meditation Coach .. it’s wonderfully organic, it grows with you when you are ready to leap to the next stage, and supports you when you need support.

We usually recommend a 1.5 hour first session (the fee is $125) where we look at some of the key principles of meditation, the how and the why, answer any questions you may have, look at potential techniques that might suit you best, and get started with some practice!

Our suggestion is then to take a period of three to four weeks to settle into your practice, test it out, identify any challenges and formulate some insight prior to a follow up session (these are $75 and at a pace that suits you).

We shall provide a copy of our guided meditation CD Find The Stillness to take home to keep your motivated and inspired .. and keep in contact via the telephone and email to answer any questions you might have between meetings.

Meditation coach

A lovely message from a client after her first private meditation class ..
"Wow – I hummed classical music as a I drove back to the office. Working with you is like a mind massage!"

The message arrived just a couple of hours after our get together.

Later this week we catch up again for a follow up. I encourage some 'space' between classes when working privately with someone. Space is so important .. allowing us to do the meditation 'practice' and experience the challenges, the insights, the flow .. before progressing.

Meeting one-one-one allows us to meet on your ground, within your daily life, and together look at meditation techniques and exercises that might best meet your unique lifestyle (and learning style) .. and sessions can be tailored to meet specific needs, timeframe or individual challenges.

It is so rewarding being able to share this journey.

Private Meditation Instruction

On the threshold of Spring we often begin to notice a quiet awakening within.

An awareness of intentions and goals we may have set earlier in the year, and which have lain dormant in the darker and colder months, starting to whisper to us again.  The literal and metaphoric ‘seeds’ we planted in months past start to tentatively poke their heads through the warming earth - before bursting into full bloom.

HOW IS YOUR MEDITATION PRACTICE GOING?

This new energy can support us in taking the necessary actions to refresh and reinvigorate our meditation practice (before the arrival of Summer – the season of celebrating the fruits of our labour).

PRIVATE MEDITATION INSTRUCTION

Private meditation 'coaching' is great for those who cannot (or rather not) attend a group class situation .. or perhaps already have received some instruction but need a refresher .. or have a particular interest or challenge.

The beauty of meeting one-on-one is that we can tailor our meeting to meet your specific timeframe and needs.  We work together.  We look at techniques and exercises that tune into your learning style and lifestyle.  You can read more HERE.

Our private meditation sessions are held at our Black Rock centre on a Tuesday or Thursday evenings (or other time by arrangement).

A Meditation Coach

I have found there is a very special 'magic' that happens when I share meditation with someone .. one-on-one.  Meeting somewhere 'where they are' and exploring the wonders of meditation together.

Private classes are ideal for those who find it impossible to get to a group class, or perhaps prefer to just do their own 'thing' .. sometimes people work strange hours or find evening group classes clash with family responsibilities.   Sometimes people are just seeking some guidance around a particular meditation challenge or have out-grown their previous meditation instruction.

Meeting one-one-one allows us to meet on your ground, within your daily life, and together look at meditation techniques and exercises that might best meet your unique lifestyle (and learning style) .. and sessions can be tailored to meet specific needs, timeframe or individual challenges.

Kind of like having a Meditation Coach .. it’s wonderfully organic, it grows with you when you are ready to leap to the next stage, and supports you when you need support.

I have made many new friend through private instruction .. and the 'magic' happens for me when I find a synergy of peacefulness and silence blossoming in our practice together .. and I love hearing how the benefits of meditation start to infiltrated another persons life (like I know it has mine).

Is Learning to Meditate one of your 2012 Intentions?

Before 'busyness' becomes ingrained in your 2012 life .. before the ease and balance of summer break wears off .. isn't it time to find some tools to better manage stress and achieve deeper states of relaxation?

Now is an ideal time to find out a little more about meditation .. and put in place a wellness routine that will support mind and body.

For the next two days only (until Tuesday 6pm) .. our friends at Bellabuy are promoting our private (single, couple or two friends) meditation session .. an opportunity to learn a little more about meditation .. experience a deeply relaxing guided meditation and also take home some practical tools for releasing stress ..

Private meditation instruction

I have recently started providing private meditation instruction .. one-on-one. This is a new endeavour for me (other than times I have shared meditation with friends or family) and has been a surprising, nourishing and enjoyable journey. Some people find it difficult to get to group classes, or are just not that 'into' learning new things with others, or perhaps have been ill or work strange hours. Sometimes we also need new inspiration, lack motivation or have out-grown our meditation books or previous instruction.

Private meditation coaching allows us to meet on your ground, within your daily life, and look at techniques and exercises in tune with your unique learning style .. classes can be tailored to meet specific needs, timeframe or individual challenges.

Kind of like having a Meditation Coach .. it’s organic, it grows with you when you are ready to leap to the next stage, and supports you when you need support.

I have made a new friend .. we have laughed together and shared some beautiful time in silence .. in fact we spend more time in silence than in talking .. and yet .. I feel a deep connection and as two beginners (me teaching one-on-one, and my client to meditation) we are both enjoying the ride!
