Bayside teacher aims to take stress out of life
17 Oct 12 by Jessica Bennett, Moorabbin Leader
"SARAH Fletcher wants to help stressed people relax, so she has put her hand up for a Leader Local Grant.
Ms Fletcher, from Quiet Mind Meditation, said she would use the $1000 grant to help people relax and de-stress with free outdoor meditation sessions. The meditation teacher said a recent Lifeline Australia poll found 91 per cent of adults were stressed, with 41 per cent saying they experienced unhealthy levels of stress.
She said her free program offered simple, practical, non-religious meditation and relaxation tools. Ms Fletcher said grant money would be used to publicise the program and to buy chairs and cushions for the sessions."
VOTING OPENS 29 OTOBER (to 9 NOV) AND YOU CAN VOTE AT leaderlocalgrants.com.au
I will remind everyone closer to the voting date .. because I would love to share my passion for meditation with you all .. and what better way to start your day than to share meditation outdoors, in a local park, in the early morning sunshine!
