"Solitude. It's your chance for yourself to talk to you.
And you're so worth that time."
Mary Casey
One of the things I do love about Facebook and social networking is that I get the chance to wake up each morning and easily tap into the lives, thoughts and events of friends all around the world. I woke this morning and had some time reconnect with Sarah McLean (Sedona Meditation) which was the perfect way to spend a leisurely hour before embarking on the day (besides it is 35degrees here today, very hot and very windy .. a day for a bit of stillness).
Sarah McLean was in Australia in April 2011 and prior to her arrival made contact .. we had been emailing for a few years and I always love reading her newsletter Inward Bound .. so we arranged for Sarah to give a very special Everyday Meditation Workshop at the Langham Hotel in Melbourne. It was a wonderful evening and it was awesome to finally meet Sarah and talk 'meditation' with her.
The quote above came from Sarah via her Facebook account .. and then I read the article she had also attached .. both of which I wanted to share with everyone here at Quiet Mind Meditation.
Is Silence and Solitude Good for You : Boulder Daily Camera
Also .. to let you know that Sarah is conducting a live free webinar on Thursday January 19th at 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time. Making Meditation Work For You with Sarah McLean - to register go here
And to give you the 'heads up' that Sarah is putting the final touches to her new book which I hope to tell you more about soon. And I suspect we may see Sarah back in Australia in the future.
So everyone .. that was my morning today .. then I did a 20-minute meditation, listening to the howling wind outside my window and the wind chimes tinkling in the backyard .. and then it was time for my one and only latte .. enjoy your day!
