Voted 'The Most Relaxing Tune Ever Recorded'

I recently wrote about some meditation classes coming up (in March) focused on the theme of using the senses in meditation (and relaxation).

And this week I read about a recent study which found that this eight minute song helps to slow the heart rate, reduce blood pressure and lower levels of the stress. 

“Weightless” has been found by scientists to be 'the most relaxing tune ever recorded (more here) .. found to be 11% more relaxing than any other song tested through a study conducted on 40 women (not a huge study!) .. it induced a ‘65% reduction in overall anxiety and brought them to a level 35% lower than their usual resting rates’. 

Music has the power to move and soothe us

Music therapy has been used for millennium to improve health and well-being. If you can find a little time today (8min) - and not while driving or using machinery - you might give this a go.
