Spring Meditation Classes


Noticed the blossom yet?
 
Freshness and new energy abound as the earth's energy awakens and the cycle of life turns yet again.
 
Time to clear out our space .. and clear out our mind.
 
Meditation may be one life tool that we have yet to explore or embrace .. and so we have an exciting number of new classes, new venues (or renovated ones) and new opportunities to shift inward and find your own source of peace and calmness!
 
MINDFULNESS OF BREATH & BODY (x4 classes $80) Part of the Sunday Meditation Series at Ihana Yoga (Hampton Street, Hampton) where we shall explore the ancient practice of mindfulness - anchoring our attention on the body and the breath.  Classes on Sunday 1, 8, 15 & 22 September :  5.00-6:00pm. QUIET MIND MEDITATION E-COURSE for those who prefer to learn in pajama's, at home or while on holiday.  Receive a daily email with complete instruction, knowledge, tips, personal insights and MOTIVATION to leap into meditation; with a private blog for participants with online guided meditations, online video's and mp3's. STARTS 1 SEPT : 31 days for $62 BOOK HERE 
 
MEDITATIVE EXERCISES (workshop $40) Learn some simple and immediate practices that can be easily implemented into daily life .. exercises that teach you how to release stress and tension quickly ~ when you need to. These exercises are also a wonderful starting point for a longer meditation. We shall explore a variety of short, practical but magical exercises that incorporate an awareness of the breath, movement and body ~ and find out how to incorporate these exercises into daily life. A TASTE OF MEDITATION (workshop $40) A 1.5hr introduction to meditation. People meditate for many reasons .. to relax, let go of stress, improve health, develop greater focus and awareness, inspire creative thinking, cope better with change and the demands of life .. and discover some inner peace and clarity. We shall look at some of the key principles of meditation, experience two relaxing guided meditations and you will leave with a deeper sense of ease and calmness. WED 18 SEPT : 6.30-8pm at EmpowerMe (Black Rock)
 
EXPLORING MEDITATION (6-week course $175) Our most popular and long running course that introduces the 'art and science' of meditation with a deeper opportunity to explore a range of widely practiced meditation techniques .. so that you find the best practice for you! Learn the 'how' and 'why', the key principles and experience mindfulness practices, mantra, movement and stillness meditation. Over six weeks we shall begin to slip into the 'habit' of meditation and there is a handbook with weekly updates and hOMework. Classes 6.30-8pm.
