Final Meditation Classes for 2011

Can you feel the momentum starting to pull you towards summer .. end of year .. and Christmas? 

Even if one could ignore the proliferation of red and green decorator items in the supermarket .. I can feel the racing of time as I am suddenly confirming dates for celebratory drinks, work functions and end of year reviews, summer holiday plans and christmas puddings (thats my job!)  

.. and this weekend the sun shining high in the sky .. reminding us that Australia's hot summer is almost upon us ..

Need to find the 'pause' button in your busy life?
Often the summer holidays are the only 'off' time that people allow themselves .. and I know because I used to be one of those people!  The Christmas week was like an enforced holiday that I had no choice over, and I would literally collapse on the couch/beach/poolside trying to relax and release a years worth of accumulated stress.  

Is it time to recharge the batteries?
Waiting all year for the annual leave holiday .. is not healthy or helpful in managing rising stress levels.  Inevitably we spend the first few days managing the extra-frantic parties and celebrations, then there are a few days to relax (if we can) .. before we start ramping up again for the new year.

But there is a much better option for managing stress and deeply relaxing the mind and body .. meditation!

Is it time to learn about meditation and start your own practice?
Our final EXPLORING MEDITATION programs are starting next week .. just in time before time really does rush away from us into Christmas.  This is a five week program designed to assist you in starting your own meditation practice.  We explore a range of meditation techniques, the 'how' and the 'why', experience guided meditations and silent practices, and clear away any questions.

Research clearly shows that learning to calm ourselves and manage our stress positively influences our inner biochemistry .. improving physical and emotional health, providing more restful sleep and giving us greater 'life' energy .. as well as increasing our ability to cultivate positive emotions.
